Kim Delaney (born Kim Delaney) is an American actor best recognized for her role as Detective Diane Russell in ABCs NYPD Blue in which she earned an Emmy Award. Her credits are All My Children Philly CSI: Miami and Army Wives. Delaney is the sole daughter of a United Auto Workers senior executive and domestic worker was raised with her four siblings. Though she had a aspiration to become journalist, it wasn't until her high school years when Delaney started modeling. When she moved from New York City and gaining experience as a commercial model at New York did she achieve the career as aspiring court reporters. As a teenager her first appearance as an actress was in the soap opera of 1980 All My Children. Since then Delaney has been in a variety of film and television dramas.
